Registering your appliances with the
manufacturer is a must. Unlike car
manufacturers, appliance
manufacturers have no idea where to
find you if a safety repair is needed,
unless you’ve taken a moment to
register your appliances.
To help make this process quick and
easy, AMDEA, an organisation
representing the domestic appliance
industry, has created a user friendly
website where you can register all
your appliances in one place.

Home safety is at the heart of this new
initiative and Register my appliance is
supported by The Royal Society for
the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Over the last 15 months M&Y has:
• fitted more than 780 new
kitchens and over 440
bathrooms
• installed more than 540 new
heating systems
• switched 76 properties to
cheaper, cleaner and more
efficient forms of energy.
Over the coming months, around
600 new kitchens will be fitted in our schedule work so that every property

Gill leads the way
Gill Kelly, Executive Director of M&Y
Maintenance and Construction, has won
a coveted award for being one of the top
women in business.
Gill was honoured at the annual Women
In Business Awards, collecting the title
Female Leader of the Year 2016. Gill heads
up a business which has grown to 240
staff with a turnover of £18million.
“Our winning award submission was
based on the continuing growth and
success of the whole business. We are
a team and this award is for all of us,”
said Gill.
The awards were organised by Downtown
Liverpool in Business.

shortlisted for national awards.
Jessica Martlew, Katie Miller and Gary
Flanagan are through to the finals of this
year’s Direct Works Forum Repairs and
Maintenance Awards.
Planning support coordinator Jess is
shortlisted in the category of best planner.
Site supervisor Katie is a finalist in the
category of best manager and apprentice
electrician Gary has been shortlisted for
the title of best apprentice.
The DWF awards celebrate the exceptional
skills and outstanding commitment of
staff employed in the housing repairs and
maintenance industry.
