Lord Mayor Opens Inaugural Regenda Winter Ball

Regenda is proud to have hosted our first ever Winter Ball aiming to help reduce social isolation for our tenants with the event being opened by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool.

Over 100 elegantly dressed residents made their way to the Yacht Club on Friday 8th November 2019 for a fun full filled day of dining and entertainment.

Event coordinator, Kevin Short, Communities Team Leader for Merseyside said:
“This is the first time that we at Regenda Homes have organised anything like this and would love for this project to be an annual occurrence.”

“At Regenda we pride ourselves with the work we do in our communities and this particular event has been organised in an attempt to reduce social isolation. A big thank you to all staff who have made this happen today.”

The Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Anna Rothery, opened the ceremony, ditching her pre-written speech, to say: “Reducing social isolation is so important and I think events like this should happen every year!”

Tenants were serenaded by the wonderful St Vincent De Paul School Choir, live comedy, bingo and a raffle, all courtesy of Regenda Homes, part of the Regenda Group.

Councillor Rothery spent the entire afternoon chatting, laughing and posing for pictures with residents.

The success of the event could only be possible with the hard work of our staff, but future events like this will need investment and Regenda is always looking for corporate partnerships to help us regenerate places and support aspirations of local people, particularly those at risk of social isolation.
