The future looks brighter for jobseekers in Tameside

The summer may almost be over but there is a new ray of sunshine for people looking for work or training.

Regenda Homes is one of two housing associations supporting a new weekly skills and success club in Tameside where people can receive vital support to help get them into jobs or training.

Every Friday the Brighter Futures centre in Ashton-under-Lyne will welcome locals who need advice and confidence building.

Employment and skills staff from Regenda Homes and Ashton Pioneer Homes say it is a great opportunity for unemployed people in the local community.

“We know our residents need support in finding good quality training and employment opportunities. Working together with our partners on this great initiative makes so much more possible. From help writing a CV to sharing interview tips, the staff at the Brighter Futures centre are there to help make a difference,” said Stephanie Harrison, Regenda Homes’ executive director.

The Brighter Futures centre is supported by Jobcentre Plus, the training provider Mantra Learning and has links with local employers.

The centre is open every Friday from 11am until 1pm at The Linda Fletcher IT Suite, Ryecroft House, Ashton Pioneer Homes, OL7 0SA.
