Improvement works
We carry out improvement works to keep homes safe, modern and comfortable. These are different from day-to-day repairs and help us look after homes over the long term.
Not every Regenda Homes property will be included each year. If your home is selected and you don’t want the work to go ahead, please contact us as soon as you receive your letter.
What are improvement works?
Improvement works are planned updates to parts of your home. We carry them out between April and March each year.
How do I know if my home is going to receive improvement works?
If your home is included in the programme, we’ll:
- Send you a letter
- Contact you to arrange a visit and survey.
What does improvement works include?
Improvement works may include:
Inside your home:
- New kitchens
- New bathrooms
- Central heating upgrades
- Electrical rewiring.
Outside your home:
- Roof repairs or replacement
- Structural works
- New windows and doors
- Security improvements.
Shared areas:
- Lift replacements
- Internal and external painting.
What happens during the improvement works?
We’ll send you a letter at least 10 working days before the work starts. It will explain:
- What work we’re doing
- How long it will take
- When it will happen
- Who to contact.
If the work takes longer than planned, we’ll give you a new completion date and keep you updated.
Once the work is finished, we’ll check the quality with you within 5 working days. If anything needs fixing, we’ll book a time to put it right.
