Rent free weeks
For customers living in our Wyre and Fylde local authority areas, this year’s non-charging weeks (also known as rent-free weeks) will occur on the following dates:
18 December 2023
25 December 2023
18 March 2024
25 March 2024
We do not charge rent during these weeks. To benefit from this reduced payment, your rent account must be at least one week in credit. If your rent account is in arrears, any payment arrangement that has been agreed must continue over these non-charging weeks.
I pay my rent monthly
If you pay your rent monthly, you should continue to pay as normal, as the non-charging weeks have already been accounted for in your monthly payment amount. There is no need to change your regular payment over this period.
I pay my rent weekly, fortnightly or four-weekly
If you pay your rent weekly or fortnightly, and your rent account meets the requirement of being at least one week in credit, you do not have to pay any rent during the non-charging weeks. If you are a four-weekly payer, then your rent payment for this period will be half the normal four-weekly amount. If you pay by Direct Debit, we will adjust the amount for you. Please DO NOT cancel your Direct Debit, as we need to allow at least five working days before this can be re-instated, which could cause you to fall into rent arrears. If you pay by Standing Order, you will need to contact your bank to adjust any payment .
