Employment and enterprise

The Regeneration Team works with partnerships across the North West to provide support to residents and tenants. 

An active member of Athena, a partnership of housing associations in Greater Manchester, we also coordinate a working group of housing associations and Councils across the Liverpool City region. In the last three years we have supported over 100 people to access full time employment, with many more supported in gaining new skills, training and qualifications.

Give it a Go ! was a new project aimed at encouraging, supporting and developing residents and tenants across Oldham into self employment / starting up their new business.  It had a specific (but not exclusive) focus on helping young people (under the age of 25) into self employment. 

This project has been informed by residents looking to access support in their journey towards self-employment and new business start ups. The approach is based on providing support and advice to people where they need it, when they need it – all at no cost to the resident. Our projects in Oldham and Fleetwood have been very successful.
