Help in a Crisis in Merseyside

Crisis support

  • Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust: 24/7 crisis support via NHS 111.
  • Crisis Cafes (Liverpool & Sefton): Safe spaces for mental health support, including Liverpool Light (0300 323 0197) and Sefton Crisis Cafe (01744 20032).
  • Crisis Skylight Merseyside: Support for homelessness and related crises (0151 218 7000, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri).
  • Careline (Out of Hours): 0151 233 3800.
  • Cheshire & Wirral Partnership (CWP) NHS Trust: 24/7 urgent help via 111 (Option 2).

Crisis cafes

Crisis Cafes are an alternative to A&E and provide a listening ear, a safe space, crisis and recovery interventions and referrals to ongoing support services. Crisis cafes offer support in areas like:

  • Debt advice, benefits and welfare services
  • Domestic violence support
  • Access to housing and homeless prevention services
  • Substance misuse and addiction support
  • Health, wellbeing and counselling services
  • Establishing a safety plan
  • Access to peer support worker for additional, follow up support.

Our Commutation Plaza office is a safe place for anyone to report hate crime.  

We have worked with police and other partner agencies to make our offices a third-party reporting centre for hate crime .    

That means we offer a safe place for anyone to report hate crime, if you have experienced hate crime or seen it happen to someone else.   

You can come to our office to be listened to in confidence. We will support you to contact the right support near you.
