- Regenda Homes and external partners came together to carry out a community litter pick. Recently, we have received numerous reports of rubbish accumulating near Avros Football club, with concerns that waste is blowing onto the surrounding streets.
- The team cleared litter and improved the appearance of the estate clearing as much of the affected area as possible.
- Another litter‑picking event will be arranged for later in the year and this will be advertised on the website.

Barker House, Failsworth

- Caretakers visited Barker House, Failsworth on 27/07/2026 and sprayed the weeds with weed killer around the communal grounds. They then returned on 17/08/2026 and removed all the dead weeds from site.

Chadderton, Oldham
16 April 2026
- Neighbourhood and Communities Officer Marie and Caretaker Dave carried out a litter pick in the large alleyway between Burnley Lane, Victoria Street, and Westfield Street, Chadderton.
- This was asked for by some residents as they stated it was not a bad spot for fly tipping, however the wind often blows rubbish into the alleyway and becomes unsightly. It was also identified that x2 cars have appeared to be abandoned and investigations into this have already began.
- Another litter‑picking event will be arranged for later in the year and this will be advertised on the website.
Abbeyhills, Oldham
5 February 2026
- Regenda Homes, Oldham Council and the local PCSO came together to carry out a community litter pick. They spoke to local residents about any neighbourhood or community issues, and also if there was any support they needed during the winter months.
- Some areas of fly tipping were identified and discussed who was going to action this. Tasks for both Regenda Homes and Oldham Council were agreed.
- Another litter‑picking event will be arranged for later in the year and this will be advertised on the website.

- On 05/06/26 the Neighbourhood and Communities Officer Rachael carried out a scheme surgery at Ashway with Teresa, Welfare Benefits Officer and Erin, Fire Risk Officer. Discussions with residents took place regarding providing advice on repairs, welfare benefits, fire safety, ‘Stay Put’ guidance in the event of a fire, addressed fire‑risk concerns in the bin stores, door‑fob enquiries, and arranged a follow‑up visit for a property requiring a Fixed Wire Test.

- Regenda Homes and Tameside Council’s Environmental Team came together to carry out a community litter pick. Recent storms had blown waste across the area; the team cleared litter and improved the appearance of the estate.
- A sofa left in the bin shed was identified; the resident responsible has agreed to remove and dispose of it correctly.
- The communal garden gate had been locked with a bike lock, restricting access. After discussions with residents, the lock was removed and grounds maintenance has been updated.
- A resident raised an issue with a communal entrance door; this was resolved on site by our caretaker during the visit.
- Another litter‑picking event will be arranged for later in the year and this will be advertised on the website.
