- Regenda Homes and external partners came together to carry out a community litter pick. Recently, we have received numerous reports of rubbish accumulating near Avros Football club, with concerns that waste is blowing onto the surrounding streets.
- The team cleared litter and improved the appearance of the estate clearing as much of the affected area as possible.
- Another litter‑picking event will be arranged for later in the year and this will be advertised on the website.
Oldham
Abbeyhills, Oldham
5 February 2026
- Regenda Homes, Oldham Council and the local PCSO came together to carry out a community litter pick. They spoke to local residents about any neighbourhood or community issues, and also if there was any support they needed during the winter months.
- Some areas of fly tipping were identified and discussed who was going to action this. Tasks for both Regenda Homes and Oldham Council were agreed.
- Another litter‑picking event will be arranged for later in the year and this will be advertised on the website.

- Regenda Homes and Tameside Council’s Environmental Team came together to carry out a community litter pick. Recent storms had blown waste across the area; the team cleared litter and improved the appearance of the estate.
- A sofa left in the bin shed was identified; the resident responsible has agreed to remove and dispose of it correctly.
- The communal garden gate had been locked with a bike lock, restricting access. After discussions with residents, the lock was removed and grounds maintenance has been updated.
- A resident raised an issue with a communal entrance door; this was resolved on site by our caretaker during the visit.
- Another litter‑picking event will be arranged for later in the year and this will be advertised on the website.

- On 11/02/2026, Rachael the Neighbourhood and Communities Officer arranged with external agencies to remove the fly tipping and household waste that had been left in the alleyway between Cambridge Street and Stockport Road. Following our caretaker’s visit to Coniston Walk on Tuesday 7th October 2025, a large amount of fly tipping was removed from the grassed verge next to the bin store. We appreciate the swift action taken to clear the area.
