Fleetwood Hospital welcomes new residents

As part of its multi-million pound, 10-year vision for Fleetwood, Regenda Homes has moved to new premises in Fleetwood Hospital.

Steve Newsham, Regional Director for Regenda Homes, said:

“We’ve really expanded our services in Fleetwood, meaning we’ve had to move from our office on Lord Street to enable us to deliver our plans. We’re really excited to provide new training opportunities through The Learning Foundry and continue our partnership with the Fleetwood Trust. Everything we’re doing will ensure that residents have opportunities where all can thrive.”

Regenda Homes has moved into 5,000sq ft of office space on the ground and first floor of the building and is part of a hub of organisations, all aiming to improve the lives of people living in Fleetwood. The Learning Foundry, which is part of The Regenda Group, will have a bespoke campus within the building, where they will provide employment and training opportunities, including apprenticeships, traineeships and courses for adults across Fleetwood.

Charley Wilkinson, Chief Executive of the Fleetwood Trust said:

“We are delighted that Regenda is moving into our beloved hospital as a tenant and bringing their experience and services to the area, we look forward to working together to bring more opportunities to the local community.”

The Fleetwood Trust acquired the hospital building in November 2018, beginning an extensive regeneration program to provide a venue for local services and support. The Pantry, part of the Fleetwood Together food support, opened in 2020. Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Volunteer Centre hold regular community groups at the hospital and NHS outpatient services are available to the public.

Refurbishment of office space at the hospital has been carried out by local contractor, Clement Dickens and Sons Ltd. Managing Director, Ross Dickens, said:

“We know that Regenda likes to work with local suppliers and were delighted to be the chosen contractor for the redevelopment of their new office space and training campus. This has been an incredible project to work on and will help to bring the hospital back into use as a community facility.”
