Merseyside
- United Utilities Trust Fund: Can support with essential household items in some circumstances.
- Liverpool & Sefton Household Support Fund: Includes white goods support.
Cheshire
- Cheshire West HELP Scheme Contact 0808 175 3599 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) or apply online for food, fuel, and essential household items.
- Cheshire East Household Support Fund Provides assistance for vulnerable households, which may include white goods or furniture.
- Local Welfare Assistance Various schemes exist across Cheshire East, Cheshire West & Chester, and Warrington to support people with emergency furniture and appliances.
- Green Doctor Energy-related support for Cheshire residents, which may include help with energy-efficient appliances.
- Glasspool Charity Trust provide grants for white goods.
Greater Manchester
- Manchester City Council Welfare Provision Scheme: Provides high-quality white goods with supplier warranties and installation for those with significant health needs, suffering a disaster, or in supported resettlement.
- Salford City Council (Salford Assist): Offers "resettlement grants" for essential furniture and white goods to help residents remain in or return to the community.
- Stockport Council (Crisis Support): Residents can apply for help with household items like cookers, fridges, and washing machines via their support funds.
- Trafford Council (Trafford Assist): Supports residents in short-term financial difficulty with essential white goods; note that applications for items like fridge-freezers are limited to once every 24 months.
- Rochdale Borough Council Household Support Fund: Uses HSF allocations to provide support for household essentials for those in the most need
Lancashire
- Essential Household Goods Support Scheme (Selnet/Under One Roof): This is the primary county-wide scheme run by Selnet. It works with a network of furniture reuse organisations to provide items like fridges, freezers, cookers, and beds to those in crisis.
- Lancashire County Council Reuse 360 Hub: A dedicated project that takes donated furniture from recycling centres and re-homes it through social care teams to families in need.
- Preston City Council Household Support Fund: Under its HSF Round 7 (active until 31 March 2026), Preston residents can apply for white goods or furniture, though awards are generally limited to one item per household.
- Blackburn with Darwen Household Support Scheme: Provides white goods such as fridges and cookers. Note that for this council, applications for white goods must often be made by a professional referral (e.g., a social worker).
- South Ribble Borough Council Social Prescribing Support: Their Social Prescribing team manages HSF funding specifically to help residents acquire white goods and basic furniture.
- Lancaster City Council & North Lancashire Citizens Advice: Residents in Lancaster can access HSF support for essential items by completing an enquiry form that leads to a Citizens Advice appointment
