Failsworth schoolchildren send a message to the future

Local school children lower time capsule in Failsworth

One of Regenda Homes latest housing developments is guaranteed to be a site of special historical importance long into the future.

Local schoolchildren in the Failsworth area of Greater Manchester filled a time capsule with letters, drawings and photographs and were then invited to watch it being sealed and lowered into the ground in Victoria Street.

A copy of the latest edition of the Regenda residents' magazine, Belong, was also put into the time capsule to be read many years from now.
It was the idea of our contractors, CEJ, who are building 13 stylish one and two bedroom apartments on the site.

Director, Ed Jackson, said: "We've really enjoyed working with the children from Propps Hall Primary School and to say they were extremely excited to see the time capsule being buried is an understatement."

The time capsule will lay beneath the car park where a wall plaque will mark its position.
