Chip loving residents to start start frying safely

With over half of home fires caused by cooking accidents, we decided to take action to help improve safety for our residents at Windmill House and Carnegie Court by offering free electrical deep fat fryers in exchange for old chip pans.

Kevin Short, Communities Team Leader at Regenda Homes, said: “We were delighted at the response to this initiative which is all about improving safety.

“Chip pans are still used by a lot of people and so it was great to be able to provide them with a new safer electrical deep fat fryer.”

During the two events, we swapped a total of 31 chip pans for residents.
