Walking the Walk - Regenda Staff Raise Awareness for Centre 56

The Regenda Homes team were out in force for an awareness walk they organised on behalf of Centre 56.

The walk saw warm-hearted staff and associates including The Learning Foundry, Paul Crowley Solicitors and Merseyside Domestic Violence Service brave the cold winter wind to raise awareness for the local charity.

The event was organised by Chloe Brennan, Tenancy Enforcement Officer in the Neighbourhood Team, and it saw droves of people walk the almost 2 hour round trip from Regenda Homes to Centre 56 and back again.

The charity helps women and children who have suffered, or are at risk of, domestic abuse or a crisis situation and staff are being encouraged to donate to their “Light Up A Christmas Tree” fundraising page, which you can learn more about here >

Chloe said, “Thank you so much for coming everyone and thank you to all of my amazing colleagues at The Regenda Group for turning out en masse for a very important cause. You have all made today amazing.”

Claire Essame, Centre 56 Service Manager, said: “The festive period can be a very difficult time for many of the families we work with, but your support can help us make Christmas special for all of our children and families.”

Last year the appeal raised over £650 but this year they are looking to top that with a goal of £1000!

Centre 56 is part of The Regenda Group. They provide care and support so that families can rebuild their lives and achieve their aspirations. They also provide support and training for women, as well as domestic abuse training for a variety of different agencies. For more information visit, www.centre56.org.uk
