We're committed to supporting young people

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve partnered with The Careers & Enterprise Company to become a Cornerstone Employer.

This means that we’re committed to supporting young people in the North West. Regular, meaningful encounters with employers is an absolutely vital part of preparing and inspiring young people for the world of work. We know that this kind of support means young people are less likely to be not in education, employment or training (NEET) when they leave school.

Through Positive Footprints, we have provided funding for their award-winning Raising Aspirations programme to be delivered to approximately 150 schools across the North West. This means that we’ll be opening up the world of work for around 7,000 children in our region.

Through our training provider, The Learning Foundry, we provide engaging and inspiring training and employment programmes that give young people the best start in their future careers.

As a Group, we have 30 apprentices working with us right now.

We have also partnered with Abbots Lea School in Liverpool to offer supported internships to three of their students. Abbots Lea is an outstanding and award-winning centre of excellence in autism education, research and professional development.

George West who is one of the interns working at Regenda, said “This experience has opened up my horizons. I am more confident and independent. I would recommend to anyone considering an internship to come along and get a feel for the people you will be working with, take your time and see it as an opportunity where you can apply your existing abilities to new experiences.”

What is a Cornerstone Employer?

A Cornerstone Employer is a business that is invested in the successful and sustainable delivery of careers education for young people and commits to join a leadership group of local businesses to support the schools, colleges and young people in their area.

The Cornerstone Employers work together with their networks and the wider business community to ensure all young people have the opportunities they need to be prepared and inspired for the world of work.
