Regenda Homes is developing its first Extra Care facility in Fleetwood, Wyre, which is due to be completed in autumn 2019.
What is Extra Care?
We created this video with Halton Housing to show you what an Extra Care scheme looks like, and what its residents think about living here.
Extra Care offer long-term housing for people over the age of 55 who may need support and/or care. It provides access to 24-hour care, where residents can feel secure and confident that there will always be someone there to help them, if they need it.
Residents can access flexible, personalised care, as and when they need it. Extra Care schemes are fully accessible and adaptable, meaning they can support resident's future needs. This means that they can stay in their homes with appropriate support for as long as possible, without the distressing need for a move to a nursing home.
Lighthouse View will be built on the old Wansbeck House site on Chatsworth Avenue. The location is excellent, with shops and transport links a short stroll away. The waterfront is a 10-minute walk away, with Fleetwood Golf Club nearby.
