Apply to join the Social Housing Resident Panel

The Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government are looking for social housing residents to join their Resident Panel.  

What is the Social Housing Resident Panel? 

The Social Housing Resident Panel brings together up to 250 social housing residents from across the country so they can directly share their views with the government and ministers. 

Who runs the Social Housing Resident Panel? 

The Social Housing Resident Panel is run by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. They are responsible for making sure communities are involved in decision making and making sure homes are affordable and accessible for people.  

What does the Social Housing Resident Panel do? 

The Panel chooses the most important topics about social housing. Panel members share their ideas, then, government workers try to find ways for the Panel to help shape new rules, based on those ideas.

How to apply 

If you are interested in joining the Social Housing Residents Panel, you can apply to join the panel by filling in a short application form. 

The closing date for applications is 11pm on Sunday 7 September 2025.  

If your application is successful, somewhat will let you know in September.
