Greater Manchester Hate Crime Awareness Week 2020

Regenda Homes is working closely with partner agencies in Greater Manchester to promote National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2020 which runs from 10th - 17th October.

What is hate crime?
A hate crime is an act of violence or hostility directed at a person or group of people that is based on one of the following:

  • disability or perceived disability
  • race or perceived race
  • religion of perceived religion
  • sexual orientation or perceived sexual orientation
  • transgender identity or perceived transgender identity.

How can we report a hate crime?
Regenda residents are encouraged to report incidents to us on 0344 736 0066, emailing info@regenda.org.uk or visiting  www.regenda.org.uk/contact-us

When a new hate crime report is received, an anti-social behaviour case is opened to support the victim and investigate the case. In Manchester, we work closely with key partners such as Greater Manchester Police, the Oldham MBC Community Safety Team and The Oldham Stronger Communities Service in Manchester.
