We have acquired a Liverpool based nursery.
Centre 56 provides childcare, information and support for women and children who have suffered, or are at risk of suffering domestic abuse.
We decided to bring the nursery into the Group after becoming aware that it was facing financial difficulty and closure.
Being a part of the Group, Centre 56 will benefit from greater support and stability. The nursery will contribute towards Regenda plans for growth in care and support provision, as well as broadening the services it offers to support disadvantaged communities in Liverpool.
Michael Birkett, CEO of the Regenda Group, said: “We are delighted that Centre 56 is joining the Regenda Group. Both organisations believe that everyone, no matter what their circumstances, deserves the right support.
“We have stepped in to prevent this wonderful nursery and vital support unit from closing down. However, this is only the start and it is really important that we improve revenue, ensuring the nursery is financially stable for years to come.
“As a forward thinking business, we are committed to delivering care and support services, and have expanded our Group to help do this effectively, in areas where it is most needed. We are very excited about what the future holds.”
Maria O’Brien of Centre 56 said: “We’re very excited to be joining the Regenda Group. The services we provide are so important to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. By joining the Regenda Group, we are providing a more stable support service to those people.
“It is important that we continue to work other with businesses across Merseyside to raise vital funds and become financially self-sufficient. Being part of a larger Group will give us a stronger platform from which to do this.”
