Meet our Lettings Officers

Meet Millie and Lesley, two of our Lettings Officers at Regenda. Lettings Officers look after the process of finding new homes for people in our communities.

We sat down with Millie and Lesley to talk about life in lettings:

How did you start out working in lettings?

Millie: I started working at Regenda as an apprentice when I was 16.

I joined from The Learning Foundry, the training provider part of The Regenda Group. I started off in the Insurance Team and after a year on my apprenticeship I was made a permanent member of staff.

After three and a half years in Insurance, I became a Housing Assistant and then was able to land a role as Lettings Officer earlier this year.

While lettings is all new to Millie, Lesley has worked at Regenda for over 30 years, with a passion for lettings.

Lesley: I’ve done a few different roles at Regenda, starting off as an Admin Assistant. My next role was in the repairs team before my first role in Lettings, when Regenda Homes was still a part of Maritime.

After a few years as a Housing Officer, I moved back to my role as Lettings Officer. It’s definitely my favourite of them all.

What is the best bit about working in Lettings?

Millie: Working in Lettings is really rewarding, I like going out to meet people face-to-face. It’s lovely to see people happy because we have found them a place to call home.

Lesley: We have a great Lettings team. Working with Millie who is quite new to her role is great, refreshing and bubbly, and it works really well.

What would you tell people thinking about applying for a home at Regenda?

Lesley: I would encourage people to apply for a home at Regenda. People here want to help you to find a home and we have good processes and services in place for people.
