Meet the Housing Ombudsman

On 23rd April 2024, we’re hosting a ‘Meet the Ombudsman’ event for residents. It’s a chance to meet the Housing Ombudsman for England, Richard Blakeway.

At the event, you can find out more about the service and ask the Housing Ombudsman questions.

The Housing Ombudsman supports social housing customers and landlords to resolve complaints and disputes. The Ombudsman makes the final decision on any disputes between a tenant and their landlord in an independent, impartial and fair way.

The types of complaints the Housing Ombudsman can deal with include:

  • disrepair

  • anti-social behaviour

  • complaint handling

  • damp and mould

  • adaptations

  • charges

  • leasehold

  • other housing management issues

At this session, the Housing Ombudsman will not discuss individual cases but will answer your questions and will let you know how they can help.
