New flats completed near historic Newsham Park, Liverpool

The Regenda Group are delighted to have completed the full refurbishment of a property on Newsham Drive in Liverpool for Regenda Homes.
Previously nine bedsits, this 18th-century property has been transformed into six self-contained, one-bedroom flats by M&Y Maintenance and Construction.
Having stood empty for some years, the property is now ready to start its second life, refurbished to a high standard, with A+ rated windows, internal insulation, and modern finishing throughout, providing bright, energy-efficient homes.

Sue Ward, Regenda Group Senior Development Programme Manager said:
“This project aligns very closely to the mission of Regenda Group, to regenerate place and create opportunities for people. By redeveloping this property to such a high standard throughout, we have provided much needed affordable housing for the area, improving the local community.”
The development forms part of M&Y’s growing retrofit service, which is focused on improving and making better use of existing housing stocks.
Kevin Moses, Director of Operations at M&Y said:
“I’m absolutely delighted with the transformation of Newsham Drive. M&Y have the skills and expertise to bring empty buildings like this, that have fallen into a state of total disrepair, back from the brink, giving them a new life, and preserving the heritage of the area. It’s great for communities, and better for the planet!”
