Cook your own Christmas dinner at Carneghie Court

Residents from Carneghie Court in Southport have received a Christmas goodie bag from their landlord.

The Regenda Homes’ Merseyside Housing team put together a hamper filled with all the festive favourites, including meat, potatoes, vegetables, as well as gravy, pudding, mince pies and sauce – everything you need to cook a Christmas dinner, without breaking the bank.

Residents were invited down to Carneghie Court’s car park, where the Regenda Homes trailer, kitted out with festive fairy lights, was waiting to greet everyone.

Those who were not able to come down to the car park also received a hamper.

Gary Holmes, Housing Officer at Regenda Homes said: “We wanted to show residents that cooking a Christmas dinner does not need to be expensive.

“We want to make sure our residents are happy and healthy in their homes. The aim of the day was to provide them with food over the Christmas period, and to give them an opportunity to have a chat with us”.

New residents moving in to a Regenda Homes property across Merseyside during week leading up to Christmas also received a hamper.

Kevin Short, Communities Team Leader, said: “Our Housing Officers are greeting new residents dressed in their best Christmas jumpers and giving them a hamper. We want all our new residents to feel welcome, and providing them with food to make a Christmas dinner is one less thing for them to worry about!”
