Regenda's heartwarming donation helps the homeless in Tameside

Regenda Homes is distributing free winter warmer packs to help the elderly and most vulnerable.

We have received 100 packs from a generous supplier and a centre for the homeless in Tameside was among the first to receive theirs.

Twenty winter packs were presented to those looking for food and shelter at Greystones in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Janet Hardwick from Regenda Homes said:”The door is always open at Greystones where they do some excellent work. However, the sad fact is they can’t offer everyone a roof over their head.  We hope these winter warmer packs, courtesy of our supplier, will help to make life a little easier for those who’re out on the streets.”

The packs, which each contain a flask, gloves, a hat, hot water bottle, socks a scarf and a hand warmer, were provided by Solon Security, a leading supplier of community safety products, which is celebrating 20 years in business.

Kelly Parsons from Solon Security said: "We have provided the packs as part of our anniversary celebrations, to thank Regenda for their support and to demonstrate our commitment to supporting local organisations. We are delighted to see them being distributed to those who're most in need."

All 100 donated packs, plus an extra 20 paid for by Regenda Homes, will be handed out by mid December.
