School Uniforms

School uniforms can be expensive, but there is support to help with the cost. Below you’ll find national advice and local schemes across our four regions.

Regenda Support

Regenda does not offer direct financial support for school uniforms, but our teams can signpost you to local schemes and community organisations.

National Support

Each council decides who can get support for school uniforms and how much they give. This is usually between £45 and £150.

If your council does not offer a grant, you can try the Household Support Fund or ask your child’s school for help.

Local School Uniform Support

Support for school uniforms is different depending on where you live and which school your child goes to.

If you need help, speak to your child’s school. They can tell you:

  • What support is available
  • How to apply
  • If your local council offers help
  • Some schools also have second-hand uniform shops or swap schemes.
