Carer’s Allowance
Carer’s Allowance is a benefit for people who give regular care to someone with a disability. It is taxable. You do not need to live with or be related to the person you care for. You will not get more money if you care for more than one person.
You may get Carer’s Allowance if:

you are aged 16 or over
-
you are not in full-time education
-
you care for someone for at least 35 hours a week
-
you earn £139 a week or less
The person you care for must get one of the following:

Attendance Allowance
-
Constant Attendance Allowance
-
Disability Living Allowance (middle or higher care rate)

Personal Independence Payment (daily living part)

Armed Forces Independence Payment
